Toronto Fiddle Collective
Third Tuesday of the month
The Toronto Fiddle Collective (TFC) is a community gathering run by local fiddler and teacher Celina Marie. She started the monthly gathering in 2014 as a means for her students to play tunes together as well as learn from and see intimate concerts by other professional fiddlers from all over the world. Now 6 years later, fiddlers and folkies from all over southern Ontario join in on the fun.Fiddlers and folk musicians of all ages and levels come together on the third Wednesday of every month for various fiddle focused events. TFC hosts a new special guest professional musician to run/lead workshops, kitchen parties, jam sessions, concerts, dances and more. To keep up to date with TFC, simply email fiddleshow@gmail.com and you will be added to the monthly e-news email list.
Calvin Vollrath Tuesday Online Workshop
For the 2nd season, Calvin is hosting a workshop on the zoom video platform. You will receive the sheet music, the mp3 audio of the tune being taught this month & the mp3 backing track of the tune being taught, so you can play with the band from Calvin's album after you learn the tune. What a great practice tool to have to improve your playing and it's a ton of fun to play with a great band. You will receive the Zoom link along with all the support materials 2 days before the workshop. Calvin will also teach you a 'Cal Tip' to make you a better player and answer any questions you may have about music in general. A great opportunity to learn how Calvin thinks when he's playing music.
